The Casa de Las Tejerinas will host the exhibition ‘Meninas’ by the Huelva painter Carmen Gómez Orta.

The painting exhibition can be visited from May 29 to June 11, with free access.
The Estepona Town Hall informs that Room 1 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from May 29 the exhibition of paintings ‘Meninas’ by the Huelva artist Carmen Gómez Orta.
Designer of real and abstract compositions, the artist knows and handles to perfection very heterogeneous and precise techniques within the universe of bullfighting, nature, the intricacies of everyday life, portraiture, nature, the sea and other compositions.
The exhibition will remain on display until June 11, from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 to 20:00 hours, and Saturdays from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00 hours, with free access.
Carmen Gómez Orta, born in Huelva, is a plastic artist with more than four decades of professional career. Since 1982 she has been dedicated to painting after training at the ‘Arte 2’ School in Huelva.
Her work ranges from realistic to abstract compositions, with special emphasis on the art of bullfighting, nature, the sea, portraiture and now ‘Las Meninas’. His style combines passion and technical precision, trying to transmit emotions.
He has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions. In Spain, his works have been exhibited in venues such as the Casa Colón in Huelva, the Ateneo de Sevilla and the Sala Vázquez Díaz. Internationally, he has exhibited in places such as the International Contemporary Fair Carrusel du Louvre in Paris and the Viera Gallery in Oporto. Previously, he has also exhibited his work at the Casa de Las Tejerinas.
Among other collaborations, she has been the official painter of the II Biennial Bullfighting Ronda and has been part of the artistic jury of the bullring of Huelva.
The City Council of Aljaraque has recently awarded her the Fine Arts Award in March 2025.
