The tender for the works, which is already open, contemplates the contracting of works for various actions such as the renovation of the pavement of the pedestrian paths, as well as complementary works of improvement and repair and new equipment for playgrounds, street furniture and planting and maintenance of green areas.
The project respects and enhances the existing botanical collection, with special attention to the specimen trees, increasing the number of units of Mediterranean shrub species and providing them with a new irrigation system adapted to the needs of these species.
The most important action is the replacement of the entire pavement, as well as the installation of an automatic irrigation system. It also contemplates the replacement and extension of the urban furniture consisting of benches, litter garbage cans and picnic tables, and the installation of a wide range of playground equipment.
The project has been put out to tender with a base price of 381,251 euros and a completion period of two months.
The park is a public space that was built in 2005. Since then, maintenance work has been carried out, without the complete renovation or replacement of the pavement and facilities, including street furniture and playground. Therefore, the intervention programmed now will be more ambitious and will include a comprehensive renovation.
