The City Council organizes a program of free on-site courses on key digital competencies with certification

The program is aimed at people over 18 years of age, and consists of 6 courses of 12 teaching hours each, divided into four sessions. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center.

The City Council of Estepona informs that the registration period for the program ‘Yo Conecto’ is open for free classroom courses on key digital skills with certification, aimed at people over 18 years old.

Among other skills, participants will be able to improve their job opportunities, or boost their business on the Internet through applications for the management of procedures. They will also have the opportunity to create content with Artificial Intelligence, and learn to use digital marketing tools to grow their business.

In this regard, the Councilor for Youth, Julia Simón, said that “with this program we seek that our neighbors acquire essential digital skills to improve their job opportunities and promote entrepreneurship on the Internet, using digital marketing tools and applications for the management of procedures”. In addition, he added that participants “will also be able to explore the creation of content using Artificial Intelligence, a skill that is increasingly in demand”.

This action will be carried out thanks to the collaboration agreement of the Consistory with the CiberVolunteers Foundation, a Spanish NGO of international reference that seeks to promote an inclusive digital transition and eliminate the digital divide.

The program consists of a total of 6 courses, and will run from March 17 to June 11. Each course consists of 12 teaching hours spread over four sessions, and classes will be held in the computer room of the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4 to 7 pm.

The courses and dates are as follows:

– Useful Apps for management of procedures on the Internet. March 17, 19, 24 and 26.

– Create content with Artificial Intelligence. April 7, 9, 14 and 16.

– Your digital resume. April 21, 23, 28 and 30.

– Apply Artificial Intelligence in your business. May 5th, 7th, 12th and 14th.

– Grow your brand: Marketing and online stores. May 19, 21, 26 and 28.

– Safe Internet for minors. June 2, 4, 9 and 11.
