The students of Bachillerato de Artes Plásticas y Diseño of IES Mar de Alborán show their talent at Casa de Las Tejerinas.

The exhibition is presented as an opportunity to bring young talent to the public and reinforce the value of art education in the cultural and creative development of society, and can be visited from May 14 to 27, with free access.
The Estepona City Council informs that Hall 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from next May 14, for the second consecutive year, an exhibition of students of Bachillerato de Artes Plásticas y Diseño del IES Mar de Alborán, thus consolidating a cultural event that highlights the emerging creativity in the municipality.
The exhibition brings together a careful selection of works made in the various subjects that make up this educational itinerary, offering visitors a diverse tour of techniques and artistic languages.
Among the works on display are creations in graphite, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, gouache and ink, along with engraving, volume and technical drawing applied to plastic arts and design.
With half a century of educational trajectory, the IES Mar de Alborán remains the only center in Estepona that offers this type of education, unique in the region. This circumstance favors the arrival of students from different localities of the surroundings, such as Cancelada, Casares, Manilva, Sabinillas and Secadero. The Baccalaureate of Plastic Arts and Design was implemented in the center in 2018, expanding the training offer in the artistic field.
The exhibition not only reflects the academic work of the students, but also their creative capacity and future projection. The center stresses the importance of this type of initiative to make artistic training visible and its role as a prelude to higher studies in Art Schools, Design training cycles and university degrees in Fine Arts, as well as its contribution to the training of future professionals in the sector.
The exhibition is presented as an opportunity to bring young talent to the public and reinforce the value of artistic education in the cultural and creative development of society, and can be visited until May 27, Tuesday to Friday, from 09:00 to 20:00 hours, and Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00 hours, with free access.
