From June 19 to 23, Estepona will host a Magic Market featuring more than fifty stalls and a wide range of shows and activities

It will take place from June 19 to 23 on the boardwalk, between the Central beach bar and the Peseta Monument, and will feature workshops for children, live music, various exhibitions, and parades, among other activities

Antonio Montes, the city council member assigned to the Commerce Department, has announced that the city will host a “Magic Market” from June 19 to 23, coinciding with the Feast of Saint John.

The city official stated that this market, in addition to complementing the activities organized by the City Council to celebrate the Feast of San Juan, provides significant support to local and regional artisans participating in the event, who will have the opportunity to showcase their products during these days.

According to the councilman, the market will be located on the Paseo Marítimo, along the stretch between the Monument to La Peseta and the Chiringuito Central, which will be specially decorated and set up for the occasion. The market will be open from 6:00 p.m. until midnight, except on Friday and Saturday, when it will close at 12:30 a.m.

Meanwhile, Leandro Gabriel Losa, a representative of the company Malik Mercados Temáticos, explained that the Magic Market will consist of more than fifty stalls offering a wide variety of crafts, food, and themed products, distributed across different areas specially designed to recreate an atmosphere of fantasy and magic.

In addition to the shopping and dining options, the event will feature a packed schedule of activities for all ages. Every day, there will be free children’s workshops in an interactive tent, falconry demonstrations, an amusement area, an Arabic tea house, and numerous entertainment offerings.

Highlights include belly dance performances, musical performances featuring bagpipes and drums, themed parades, traveling theater troupes, and fire shows. This year, the organizers have also made a special effort to increase the presence of street theater companies, which will fill the venue with fantastical characters, jesters, druids, mythological creatures, and other figures who will interact with the public throughout the event.

The Magic Market aims to become a gathering place for locals and visitors alike, offering an immersive experience that combines crafts, cuisine, culture, and entertainment in a unique seaside setting.

The ongoing activities taking place during the market’s opening hours will include a falconry exhibition, an amusement area, an Arabic tea house, and workshops in the interactive tent. The workshops will be held daily from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will be completely free of charge.
