The City Council will open the municipal pool at the Santo Tomás de Aquino Sports Complex this Saturday

It will be open to the general public and to students enrolled in summer courses through September 6

The Estepona City Council announces that the municipal pool at the Santo Tomás de Aquino Sports Complex will open to the public this coming Saturday, June 20.

According to Luis Gil, the councilmember in charge of the Sports Department, the pool—which has lifeguards on duty—will be open to the general public starting Saturday, and starting Monday, June 29, for students enrolled in swimming lessons, courses, and the swimming school, as well as aqua aerobics, aqua gym, and water-based physical activities for seniors.

It will be open until September 6, Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The facility will only be closed on July 12 and 16, coinciding, respectively, with Feria Sunday and the feast day in honor of the Virgin of Carmen.

Admission is 1.5 euros for children (under 14) and 2.5 euros for adults. A season pass is also available for 40 euros for children and 60 euros for adults.

Tickets can be purchased through the website reservapista.estepona.es, as in previous years, and are now available for sale.

The same company that handles security at the city’s beaches is responsible for lifeguard and safety services. There will be two lifeguards on each shift to ensure the well-being of swimmers and monitor the quality and condition of the water.
