The Botika Therapy Center will host an exhibition at the Casa de Las Tejerinas featuring artwork created by vulnerable groups

The exhibition “Visibles” features a total of 24 photographs depicting recreations of iconic films and artistic works of recognized cultural significance. It will be open to the public from June 18 to July 1.

The Estepona City Council announces that Room 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in Plaza de las Flores, will host an exhibition of artwork created by members of vulnerable communities starting on June 18.

The exhibition is titled “Visibles” and consists of a total of 24 photographs of recreations of iconic films, such as “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly,” “The Godfather,” “Belle Epoque,” “The Girl of Your Dreams,” “Grease,”… and artistic works of recognized cultural value, such as ‘The Mona Lisa’, ‘The Clothed Maja’, ‘The Last Supper’, ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’…, and are part of the 2024 and 2025 charity calendars, respectively.

The Botika Association, based in Casares, is an organization founded in April 2014 with the aim of improving the quality of life for vulnerable groups and all people in rural areas. It does so through two programs: health education for the entire population, and cognitive, functional, psycho-emotional, and social therapy for vulnerable groups at a Day Therapy Center.

It continuously carries out various activities to raise public awareness and to help its groups interact socially with the community. Among these, the “Solidarity Calendar” stands out—an activity that has been carried out since 2018 and has established itself as one of the organization’s most representative initiatives. To create it, they draw on artistic and literary works, as well as original creations developed by the professional team, with the valuable collaboration of individuals, family members, associations, and other partner organizations.

The main protagonists of the Solidarity Calendar are the users of the Therapeutic Center, who actively participate alongside the multidisciplinary team, becoming the central focus of the activity and contributing significant human, therapeutic, and social value to the project.

In recent years, this initiative has taken on a distinct thematic focus: in 2024, iconic films were recreated, while in 2025, the focus shifted to recreating artistic works of recognized cultural value.

Through this activity, the Botika Association seeks to raise awareness of the groups with whom it works, highlighting the effort, creativity, and leading role of these individuals and the professional team that supports them. Additionally, it helps the Association raise funds for the development of educational and therapeutic programs.

The exhibition will be open until July 1, Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free admission.
