Pianist Rafael Montalvo presents the piano concert “By Candlelight,” a tribute to Ludovico Einaudi, at El Calvario Park

Set against a magical lakeside backdrop, the show will take place on Saturday, July 4, at 10:00 p.m., with free admission

The Estepona City Council announces that Segovian pianist Rafael Montalvo will present, this coming Saturday, July 4, at 10:00 p.m., at El Calvario Park, the piano concert “By Candlelight,” a tribute to Ludovico Einaudi—a musical experience that invites the audience to immerse themselves in the soundscape of one of the most influential and admired composers of contemporary music.

In a magical lakeside setting, illuminated by the warm glow of hundreds of candles, the concert offers a journey through some of the most iconic works by Italian composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi, whose melodies have moved millions of people around the world thanks to his ability to convey sensitivity, serenity, and emotional depth.

The combination of the piano and the atmosphere created by the candles transforms each of Montalvo’s performances into an intimate and immersive experience, where music becomes a language capable of connecting directly with the audience’s emotions. 

The program includes a selection of some of Ludovico Einaudi’s most representative works, such as “Dietro casa,” *Una mattina* (soundtrack for *The Intouchables*), *Primavera*, *I Giorni*, *Fly* (soundtrack for *The Intouchables*), *Divenire*, *Nuvole bianche* (soundtrack for the 2015 Christmas Lottery ad), and *Experience*.

Rafael Montalvo Alonso is a pianist from Segovia whose artistic career is marked by a quest for intimate and emotional musical experiences. His performances stand out for their sensitivity, expressiveness, and ability to create a direct connection with the audience, bringing piano music to listeners of all ages.
