The City Council is providing a space to the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) to ensure the continuity of its support services

The property, located on Terraza Street, will enable the organization to provide free care to cancer patients and their families for the next 20 years
The Estepona City Council has formalized the transfer of a municipal facility to the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) for a period of twenty years, with the aim of ensuring the continuity of the care and support services that this organization provides in the municipality.
The Councilwoman for Social Integration and Social Services, María Aguilar, explained that this lease will provide the association with a stable and suitable space to carry out its activities. The property is located at 170 Terraza Street and features three rooms adapted for the services provided by the organization.
From this location, the Spanish Association Against Cancer provides free care to patients and their families, offering psychological support, social services, physical therapy, and hospital and home care, as explained by the president of the AECC in Estepona, Julia Crespo. In addition, throughout the year it organizes various workshops and activities aimed at improving the physical and emotional well-being of those affected by the disease and their families, as noted by the AECC’s provincial president, Juan Carlos Martín.
María Aguilar noted that “this donation supports the important work carried out by the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Estepona and ensures that it can continue its activities in facilities suitable for caring for patients and their families.”
In this regard, Aguilar emphasized that “the City Council remains firmly committed to social organizations that provide essential services to our residents, working with them so they can carry out their work under the best possible conditions.”
With this transfer, the City Council strengthens its collaboration with the Spanish Association Against Cancer, a leading organization in the comprehensive care of cancer patients and in supporting their families. It also highlights the association’s work in prevention and awareness-raising, as well as its contribution to cancer research.
The Estepona City Council thus continues to support the work carried out by social organizations in the municipality and to provide spaces that improve the care and support received by residents who need it most.
