Vanessa Roget is known for her lively and eclectic style, combined with her vivid use of color and abstract dreaminess. She has spent a lifetime making visual choices in various forms and brings the skills of an artist, educator, gallery owner and designer to the conversation, with an unbridled passion for the importance of art and a willingness to grow and learn.
Born in Australia, she embarked on years of travel adventures around the world. Today she resides in Spain and is dedicated to her career as a full-time artist.
Vanessa’s art is a creative map of her inner responses and curiosities; it serves as a portal into her life and travels, drawing inspiration from a mix of nature, people, emotions and the vibrant energy that surrounds her. She approaches each painting with relentless curiosity and joy, exploring various techniques, layering colors, adding textures and experimenting. Each new canvas begins intuitively, with a vague intention in her mind, adjusting the composition as she responds to the painting. Vanessa’s art is about trial and error and shifting directions with the goal of letting intuition guide her rather than chasing results.
