Estepona hosts the entrance exams for the FADMES Climbing Schools Volunteer Climbing School Instructor Course
They have been held at the Municipal Climbing Wall and at Los Reales de Sierra Bermeja.
The City Council of Estepona reports that the town has hosted the entrance exams to the Course Monitor / Monitor / Volunteer / a FADMES Climbing Schools, which was attended by 17 athletes from different parts of Andalusia.
The Andalusian School of High Mountain (EAAM) of the Andalusian Federation of Mountain Sports, Climbing and Hiking, organized and held on Saturday October 19 this course, which aims to provide adequate training to students to address the initiation and promotion of sports in climbing schools, within the clubs of the FADMES, leading activities and transmitting the basic technical aspects of this discipline.
The morning day was marked by the endurance and skill test on the slopes of Sierra Bermeja, while in the afternoon the specific climbing test was carried out in the Municipal Climbing Wall of Estepona, considered the largest outdoor climbing wall in Spain.
Once the access tests have been passed, the students will take the on-line common block, which began last Thursday, October 24, with the specific block (face-to-face) taking place at the end of November, also in Estepona.
Participants will acquire skills for climbing, organized by the FADMES and / or intended exclusively for club members, developing an altruistic non-profit work, not being a professional activity in any case. In short, the areas of promotion, initiation, recreation and leisure are the competence of this training, so that the areas of technification, training, performance and professionalization are outside its competence.
For admission to the entrance exams to the Common Block and the Specific Block, the following requirements are mandatory: to have reached the age of majority before the opening of the registration period; to be in possession of the federation license of the current year, before the opening of the registration period; and to prove to have passed the basic or elementary studies (Compulsory Secondary Education or equivalent).
