The City Council incorporates a pioneering system for the use of drones to clean the facades of Mirador El Carmen
The Consistory is one of the first public administrations in Andalusia to use this technology, which saves 60% of water, eliminates chemicals and reduces work times.
The Estepona City Council continues its commitment to the incorporation of new technologies in order to optimize the attention and public service and has begun to use a pioneering system that uses drones to clean the facades of public buildings. Today, work has begun on the Mirador del Carmen building, one of the most emblematic in the municipality, which has eight floors and houses such unique spaces as a vertical library, an exhibition hall, the music conservatory and an auditorium.
This technology is not only more efficient and more environmentally responsible; it is also safer for the workers in charge of these cleaning tasks, since it eliminates the need for cranes and scaffolding to work at height.
The measure reduces the number of hours of cleaning work, as more surface area can be covered in less time thanks to the use of the drone, which is capable of offering a level of precision and coverage that traditional systems cannot match. This technology also has important benefits from an environmental and sustainability point of view, since it allows water savings of around 60%, eliminating the use of chemicals. The key is the reverse osmosis system, which removes impurities from the water and avoids the use of aggressive products.
The Consistory thus becomes one of the first Andalusian public administrations to use drones for cleaning buildings, through the concessionaire for the cleaning of public buildings and the specialized company KTV Working Drone Spain. These devices are capable of cleaning between 500 and 3,000 square meters of surface in a single day.
