The EDM Chess EDM achieves the second place in the First Provincial Team Championship of Malaga 2024

The championship started on February 4 and ended on Sunday, February 17.

The City Council of Estepona reports that the Municipal Sports School of Chess has achieved the runner-up in the First Provincial Team Championship of Malaga 2024, organized by the Chess Delegation of Malaga, DMDA.

The game schedule began last February 4 and consisted of a total of seven rounds, ending last Sunday, March 17, where the chess players of Estepona faced the team “Trabajosos A”, winning the runner-up position.

The results of each game, in the seven-round Dutch Swiss system, were as follows:

– Round 1, February 4. The Estepona team faced “Cash Nogal el Caballo” and won by 4-0.

– Round 2, February 11. Estepona – “Activa Coín”, tied at 2.5.

– Round 3, February 18. Estepona faced Chaturanga Arriate, which they beat 3-2.

– Round 4, February 25. Estepona – “HYASOLIS COÍN”, losing 0.5 to 4.5.

– Round 5, March 3. Estepona – “Alhaurín Olduwai B”, with a 4-1 result.

– Round 6, March 10. Estepona faced the ‘almighty’ “Trebejos de Málaga”, beaten 4-1.

– Round 7, March 17. Estepona defeated the “Trabajosos A”, being runners-up in the First Provincial Chess Teams Championship of Malaga 2024.
