The registration period to participate in the XXVI Triathlon ‘Villa de Estepona’, in which around 300 athletes are expected to compete, is now open.

The race, which is one of the oldest in Andalusia, and which is scoring for the XXIV Provincial Triathlon Circuit Diputación de Málaga, will be held on June 16.

The councilman attached to the delegation of Sport, Luis Gil and the president of the Estepona Triathlon Club, Pablo Vazquez, announced today that the deadline to participate in the XXVI Triathlon ‘Villa de Estepona’, which will take place in the town on June 16 and is expected to bring together about 300 athletes.

The municipal responsible has stated that this competition, which is one of the oldest in Andalusia, has become a classic of local sport and a must for professional and amateur athletes.

In addition, the mayor thanked the organization and all the volunteers for the great work they do in each edition to coordinate the participants in each of the tests and make it possible for this activity has the great success of participation that harvest year after year.

For his part, Pablo Vazquez, has reported that the competition is scoring for the XXIV Provincial Triathlon Circuit Diputación de Málaga, is open to both federated and non-federated in this sport. He also explained that registration can be done online through the website www.triatlonandalucia.org (or directly at the following link: https://triatlonandalucia.org/competicones/xxvi-triatlon-villa-de-estepona/).

The deadline will remain open until Monday June 10 at 23:59 hours and the registration fee is 30 euros for federated and 37 euros for non-federated, as set out in the registration page of the Andalusian Federation.

The competition will be disputed in the form of Sprint. Thus, participants will have to swim a distance of 750 meters, a test that will take place on the beach of La Rada and will start from the square Diario ABC. Then there will be an urban circuit of 20 kilometers by bicycle and to finish, athletes will run a 5 kilometers race on foot through the town of Estepona.
