The Solidarity Trash Market will raise funds for the Paula Association and the Bone Marrow Factory.
In this charitable activity, which will take place on Saturday April 27 in Cancelada, neighbors or groups can sell items they have at home and are in good condition. Registrations are open and can be formalized in the Mayor’s Office of Cancelada.
The Estepona City Council reports that next Saturday April 27 Cancelada will hold a new edition of the Solidarity Trasteros Market, which this time will raise funds for the Association ‘Paula and the Marrow Factory.
The deputy mayor of Extrarradio, Begoña Ortiz, and the president of the association ‘Paula and the Marrow Factory’ have explained that this is an activity that will take place in the Plaza José Vázquez Espinosa in which, upon registration, individuals and groups will have access to a certain space where they can set up a stall to sell those items that have disused at home and which can be given a useful life. The objects must be in good condition and in proper working order.
Registration to participate with a stand is 10 euros, which will go entirely to the association ‘Paula y la Fábrica de Médula’. The registration period will remain open until the day of the event, which will begin at 10.00 am and end around 14.00 hours. There will also be a solidarity bar
The rules to participate in this activity include that the elements of assembly of the stand (tables, boards, posters, prices …) for sale will be provided solely and exclusively by those in charge of the stand.
The day will be enlivened with musical ambience of the school ‘Solo Flamenco’ by Ana Guerrero and the performance of Juanjo Alcántara and his flamenco group. In addition, it is planned that the association that will go to the funds of this initiative, ‘Paula and the Marrow Factory’, will have its own stand where they will inform about the work they do and where you can also purchase products for all those who attend the market can collaborate with the cause.
This association was born with the aim of promoting blood and bone marrow donation, to create social awareness of everything involved in suffering from leukemia or other types of childhood and juvenile cancers, to collaborate and promote research in the development of treatments, as well as to care for sick children and their families.
