The XII Concert “Portico de la Semana Santa” of the Municipal Band of Estepona will be dedicated to the ‘Masterpieces of the Funeral Genre’.
The event will take place on Sunday 17 at 8:00 p.m. in the Felipe VI Auditorium and will be presented by José María Guerrero Montes.
The City Council of Estepona informs that next Sunday, March 17, Passion Sunday, at 20:00 hours, will take place in the Felipe VI Auditorium the celebration of the XII Concert “Portico de la Semana Santa” that, since 2011, the artistic department of the Banda Municipal de Estepona (BME) has established in the town.
Directed by its chief conductor and artistic director, Mtro. José Antonio López Camacho, the Municipal Band returns to one of its usual stages with a new concert, which will begin with the main theme of the 1956 film ‘The Ten Commandments’, composed by Elmer Bernstein.
The concert will be presented by historian José María Guerrero Montes.
Access is free until full capacity, after collecting invitations at the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel, from Monday 11 to Friday March 15, from 11:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:00 hours.
