Ana Paula Mena presents at Casa de Las Tejerinas the poetry book ‘Alas infinitas’, a true story written in verse.

The literary event will take place on March 20, at 6:00 p.m., in the Alfonso Gil Alfonso Hall of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, with free access until full capacity is reached.

The City Council of Estepona informs that next Friday, March 20, at 18.00 hours, the Alfonso Gil Alfonso Hall of the Casa de Las Tejerinas will host the presentation of the book ‘Alas infinitas’ (From pain to flight: a true story told in verse), by local writer Ana Paula Mena.

This collection of poems has been in its first days of publication, record sales and, according to the author, “is an offering for those who have crossed the shadow and still believe in love, beauty and inner awakening”. ‘Infinite Wings’ is born of a profound transformation. With a spiritual and poetic language, the work captures the journey of a woman who, going through her shadows, manages to heal, open her wings and fly. Each poem is a seed of light that speaks of rebirth, of reconnection with the self and the certainty that, even in the midst of chaos, it is possible to find harmony and meaning.

As prologue of the book, Ana Paula Mena has counted on Waltraud Plank Arteaga, writer and German translator, wife of the late Spanish composer Ángel Arteaga; the epilogue is by Agustín Hervás Cobo, poet, writer and journalist based in Marbella; and Daniela Rojas, illustrator and graduate in Audiovisual Communication.

Ana Paula Mena was born in Malaga, with maternal roots in Marbella, and lives in Estepona. Her childhood and adolescence were spent between these two cities on the Costa del Sol, where she began to forge her passion for literature and art.

She coordinates with sensitivity the Poetic Group of Estepona, a project that she cultivates from the shared dedication and love for the word. It is in this space where she made her voice known as a writer.

She is a member of the National Union of Writers of Spain (UNEE) and the World Hispanic Writers Union (UHE). She has been awarded the García Fajer Foundation Prize in the category of Cultural Projects and the Golden Eagle Prize, awarded by the UHE in the category of Literature.

His work has been included in the anthologies ‘Poetas de Ahora’ IX, X and XI, XII as well as in the I anthology of the Poetic Group of Estepona. He regularly publishes poetry and short stories in literary magazines such as Óbolo, Imagine and Lunáticos. His poem ¨De la mano¨, published in Óbolo, was recognized as the most original by the literary program Escribas y Poetas of Radio Vida.

He has been trained at the Escuela de Escritura de Juan Emilio Ríos and Mar Poética, under the guidance of poet Daniel Freidemberg. In addition to her literary career, she is a certified coach and creator of the project: ‘Awaken your power’, where she unites word, conscience and personal growth.

She has represented her work in international book fairs, has participated as a literary jury of the Rotary Club and actively promotes culture and literature in her community, and has presented and recited her poetry in relevant spaces, such as the Jorge Rando Museum or the Revello de Toro Museum.
