The City Council creates new parking spaces next to the La Lobilla health center.

The action is included in the Neighborhood Plan launched by the Consistory for the improvement of all neighborhoods.

The Estepona City Council informs that it is carrying out an action to generate new free parking spaces next to the health center of ‘La Lobilla’. The works, which are included in the Municipal Plan for Neighborhoods, consist of the removal of an old unused bus stop so that up to eight vehicles can be parked.

The municipal workers have removed the old bus shelter and the concrete passenger platform of approximately 20 square meters. At the moment, the road signs are being painted to delimit the new parking spaces.

In the same area, the operational brigades have also proceeded to the elimination of three architectural barriers after the lowering of crosswalks.

The Neighborhood Plan is carrying out other actions of interest in the area of ‘La Lobilla’, such as the repainting of the 5,700 square meters of sidewalks in Santiago Street. The tiles next to the crosswalks that run along this road are being painted red so that visually impaired people know that they can cross there.

On the other hand, the Neighborhood Plan has also made possible the widening of the sidewalk next to the sports pavilion ‘La Lobilla’, after the elimination of some planters that hindered the passage of pedestrians, while new ones have been created in this environment, specifically in an area that was occupied by the structure of an old kiosk.

Work will continue in this area with the complete renovation of the children’s playground.

The Neighborhood Plan, which will soon be transferred to other residential areas of the municipality, arises with the aim of undertaking a complete renovation, improvement and reinforcement of the maintenance of the different neighborhoods. These are comprehensive actions that include masonry, painting, road signs, electricity, plumbing, gardening, elimination of architectural barriers, paving and sidewalks.
