Estepona offers free trips for young people to get to know their environment and the province

The Youth Delegation has organized this program so that young people can enjoy the nature, history and cultural heritage of their province.

The City Council of Estepona informs that the Youth Delegation will launch in 2026 the project “Know your environment, know your province”, an initiative that offers free trips and excursions for young people between 18 and 30 years, with the aim of bringing the youth population to the natural, cultural and heritage values of the town and the province of Malaga.

The project, completely free for young residents, includes five main itineraries that combine hiking, cultural visits and educational activities in natural environments of Estepona and other municipalities in the province such as Malaga city, Antequera and Ardales. The routes include the Nicola path, the Castor river and Sierra Bermeja, the Caminito del Rey and visits to museums and cultural centers in Malaga.

It is estimated that around 300 young people will participate, with limited places in order of registration, promoting gender equality and the inclusion of LGTBI diversity and people with disabilities. Each excursion will have specialized coordinators and informative materials provided by the tourist offices of the destinations visited.

The initiative aims to promote environmental conservation, generate healthy leisure habits, strengthen social and educational values and bring young people closer to the cultural and natural wealth of their immediate environment, turning them into active agents for the protection and enjoyment of their heritage.

The “Conoce tu entorno, conoce tu provincia” project has a direct impact on the health of young people by promoting activities in a natural and healthy environment. It also represents a commitment to sustainability, environmental education and the integral development of young people, offering safe, inclusive and enriching experiences for the entire youth population of Estepona.
