The Casa de Las Tejerinas hosts a new exhibition of paintings by French artist Christine Arlert.

The exhibition can be visited from April 1 to 15, with free access.

The Estepona Town Hall informs that Room 1 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from next April 1, a new exhibition of paintings by the French artist based in Estepona, Christine Arlert.

The exhibition consists of a total of 24 works in oil on canvas, and can be visited until April 15, Tuesday to Friday, from 09:00 to 20:00 hours, and Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:00 hours, with free access.

Christine Arlert was born in Paris, and has lived in different parts of France, such as the French Riviera. She currently shares her life between Brussels and Estepona.

After completing a master’s degree in economics at ICHEC in Brussels, she decided to change careers and explore the world of the arts, so she began her training in different academies and workshops in Belgium.

The artist says that painting changed her life “by freeing my emotions in a space of freedom”. She likes art in all its forms, in the field of contemporary art she admires artists such as Gerhard Richter, Rothko or Zao Wou-Ki.

She works in acrylic and oil, which she prefers for its fluidity, transparency and all the possibilities it offers, although she also explores new media. He also works a lot on portraits and live models, but little by little he has been returning to abstraction.

His source of inspiration is found in nature, more specifically, in stones, crystals, water…

Her passion for oil painting has led her to exhibit on several occasions, both in Belgium and Spain.
