The City Council awards prizes to the winners of the V ‘BookFace’ Contest

A total of 20 entries were received for this contest, which rewards the art of merging with the cover of a book.
The mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, has delivered today, coinciding with the International Book Day, the awards to the winners of the ‘V Contest ‘Bookface’, convened by the City Council with the aim of promoting creativity and the habit of reading by combining photography and literature.
The contest, which has been attended by twenty works, has rewarded the creation of images that align the covers of books with the face or body of a person, generating a creative and original visual composition.
The jury, composed of staff of the municipal delegation of Culture, has selected the three best photographs, based on criteria such as creativity, technique and originality:
1st Prize, endowed with 150 €: Amani Aldihni Garcia
2nd Prize, worth 100 €: Benjamín Virasoro
3rd Prize, endowed with 50 €: Andrea Sierra Villalba
A selection of the participating photographs will be temporarily exhibited at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center.
