The works to equip the Benahavís road with sidewalks have reached their final stage.

The City Council is carrying out this action, which is located in the stretch between the traffic circle of Mar y Monte and La Alquería and also includes lighting, trees and landscaping.
The Estepona City Council reports that the works to provide sidewalks to the Benahavís road, in its urban section, reach their final stretch.
This is an action demanded by the neighbors that has been carried out once the city has obtained the transfer and ownership of this section of 2.3 kilometers long. The General Directorate of Road Infrastructure of the Ministry of Development, Land Development and Housing of the Andalusian Government approved a few months ago the act by which the ownership of this stretch of road has been changed, becoming the municipality of Estepona.
The works, which have a budget of 1,358,000 euros, consist of the improvement of this entire area, with the construction of a sidewalk to ensure pedestrian traffic between the two points (from the A-7 to the avenue of La Alqueria) and in turn allow the connection of the various developments that converge in the environment.
The work, which is 75% complete, is already in its final phase with regard to the construction of the sidewalk. Previously, the clearing of the route, the construction of the esplanade and the excavation and installation of the rainwater channeling have been carried out. Once this new infrastructure has been completed, lighting, landscaping and tree planting will be carried out.
