Work on the new two-hectare green space in La Boladilla reaches its halfway point

It will have a multi-sports court, bio-healthy equipment and two adapted playgrounds. The urbanization of roads, lighting and signage has already been completed and work will soon begin on the installation of the irrigation system and landscaping.

The Estepona Town Hall informs that the new public green area of 20,000 square meters in the sector of La Boladilla is currently at 50% of its execution. The earthmoving works have already been completed and in the coming weeks will proceed to the installation of the automatic irrigation system by remote control, the landscaping of the space and other actions contemplated in the project.

Likewise, the urbanization work corresponding to the roads, lighting and signage has already been completed in its entirety. This new facility is being executed by the developer responsible for the development of this sector, after receiving the municipal authorizations.

The green area will have large naturalized meadows, shrub and ground cover species of Mediterranean origin, as well as a total of 300 trees of leafy and ornamental species, which will join existing specimens in this environment.

This green space will also have a multi-sports court and a bio-healthy circuit. In addition, two playgrounds have already been installed with inclusive equipment adapted for children with reduced mobility. The project also includes a series of pedestrian paths that will be made of printed concrete. As for the planting that will be carried out, it should be noted that as an environmental reinforcement measure, polymers will be incorporated into the soil, a material that is especially absorbent of humidity and allows savings in water consumption of up to 50 percent.
