The City Council finalizes the remodeling of the area around Cristóbal Colón and María de Maeztu Streets

The work includes the renovation of pavements, sewage and water supply networks, as well as new green areas.
The Estepona City Council informs that the remodeling works of the streets Cristóbal Colón and María de Maeztu are facing their final phase and are expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
This municipal project has allowed to act on a total area of 1,841 square meters. The works were awarded with a budget of 468,952 euros and a completion period of four months.
It is a work that will transform this public space, making it more modern, accessible and functional, improving its aesthetics and public infrastructures. Thus, the project has contemplated the complete renovation of the pavement and street furniture. In addition, following the technical analysis carried out, various infrastructures have been modernized, including the replacement of sewage and water supply networks, as well as the improvement of the rainwater collection system by means of new connections and scuppers.
Likewise, this remodeling has taken into account the needs of the users of the Aprona Foundation, with the aim of offering a more accessible, comfortable and inclusive space for people with functional diversity.
Likewise, the project has incorporated new functional and ornamental elements, such as green areas, a fountain and a drinking fountain, contributing to create a more pleasant environment for the enjoyment of citizens.
