Jerónimo López Perea and Ascensión Borja Tera, winners of the IV National Outdoor Speed Painting Contest ‘Estepona, Garden of the Costa del Sol’.
A total of 21 painters participated in the artistic call, held last Saturday, whose works will be exhibited from May 13 to 24 at the Casa de Las Tejerinas.
The Estepona City Council reports that the artists Jeronimo Lopez Perea and Ascension Borja Tera have won first and second prize, respectively, in the IV National Contest of Fast Outdoor Painting ‘Estepona, Garden of the Costa del Sol’. In the contest for over 16 years, held last Saturday, have participated a total of 21 artists.
The councilman attached to the area of Historical Heritage, Daniel Garcia, has indicated that this contest is awarded the best paintings inspired by the old town of the city.
The author of the winning work has received a prize of 600 euros, while the second winner has obtained 300 euros. The two creations will become part of the artistic collection of the City Council of Estepona.
In addition to these two works, eight other works made during the contest will be exhibited in an exhibition that will take place in the courtyard of the Casa de Las Tejerinas from May 13 to 24, 2024, with free access.
As in previous editions, participants have been able to make their paintings from the artistic style they have considered, and within a period of four hours.
