The City Council collaborates with CUDECA in a campaign to recruit volunteers for its charity tents

In addition, the store located on Ortega y Gasset street will change its location at the end of May to Prolongación avenida San Lorenzo, 25, a larger, more comfortable and accessible location.

The councilor attached to the delegation of Citizen Participation, Maria Aguilar, and the representative of the Volunteer Department of the Foundation CUDECA Cancer Care, Natividad Gómez Ramos, today presented a campaign to recruit new volunteers for their charity stores.

The mayor has highlighted the magnificent work done by this Foundation in the region, accompanying patients who are at the end of their days. For this reason, she has encouraged citizens to collaborate by lending their services in these charity stores, which are the essence of CUDECA and its main source of income. Thus, all the profits they generate are destined to the care, totally free of charge, of people with cancer and other advanced diseases.

On the other hand, Natividad Gómez explained that on the occasion of the change of location of one of its charity stores, specifically the one located in Ortega y Gasset street, which will be moved to Prolongación avenida San Lorenzo, 25 (at the end of May), this volunteer recruitment campaign has been launched, since the opening hours will be extended in the evenings from 17.00 to 20.00 hours and on Saturdays from 10.00 to 14.00 hours. The new premises will be a considerable improvement as they will be larger, more comfortable and more accessible for volunteers and clients.

The representative of CUDECA has underlined how important and necessary the work of the volunteers is for the foundation, and has referred that no special requirements are necessary, if only that the person likes second-hand fashion, customer service and that they are interested in collaborating with a charitable association. The tasks to be carried out will be the classification of clothes, the collection of sales and customer service.

Those interested in collaborating can contact the Volunteering Department by email: voluntariado@cudeca.org, by calling 952 56 49 10 and 671 048 304 or by going to any of the stores that CUDECA has in Estepona.
