Estepona City Council informs that the Auditorium VI will be the scene next Saturday, May 18, at 21:00 hours, of the performance of the singer Juanfra Carrasco, accompanied by El Perla on guitar.

Juan Francisco Carrasco is a flamenco singer and composer, better known in the history of the art of flamenco singing with his own stage name Juanfra Carrasco, (Santa Amalia, Badajoz, 1994). He started very young in his hometown, going on stage for the first time when he was only 6 years old, and began his artistic career at the age of 15 in the program Duende Joven of Canal Extremadura. As a result of this program he began to give classes with Miguel de Tena and Esther Merino.

Already defined by many media as the new link of a way of singing typical of his land, he puts the world on his shoulders to take us to the ‘jonda’ essence, where he moves with an unusual naturalness for someone of his young age. The young singer from Extremadura is attracted to flamenco from a very early age and began singing at family gatherings from the age of five. His professional career can be said to begin at the age of 15, with his participation in the program ‘Duende Flamenco’ of the regional television of Extremadura. His regional consecration came at the age of 16, when he participated in the prestigious Festival Flamenco de Don Benito, sharing the bill with figures such as Luis El Zambo and Miguel de Tena. From then on, he toured festivals, peñas and tablaos as one of the young figures of flamenco singing. He has sung to the top figures of the dance, as Pepe Torres and Farruquito, touring countries like Japan, Israel and France. It is also worth mentioning his appearances at the tablao Los Gallos in Seville or Casa Patas in Madrid, among others.

It should be noted that he is one of the few young singers who is a disciple of the Triana school of art of masters such as Luis Peña, Guillermo Manzano, Antonio ‘El marsellés’ or El Perla. Magnificent awards that endorse his great artistic career: Award of the Diputación de Badajoz, Mancomunidad de Sevilla Award, the prestigious Premio Joven de Antonio Mairena, Premio de Carmona, Premio de Valdemoro, and a second prize of the Sol de Plata de Lorca.
