The Casa de Las Tejerinas will host an exhibition of the contemporary artist Gigi López

The pictorial exhibition opens on Thursday, February 27 and will be open until March 12.

The Estepona Town Hall informs that Room 2 of Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from next Thursday, February 27, an exhibition of contemporary art by the painter Gigi Lopez.

The pictorial exhibition consists of 23 paintings made with acrylic on canvas, and can be visited until March 12. The opening hours are from Tuesday to Friday, from 09:00 to 20:00 hours; and on Saturdays, from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00 hours, with free access.

Gigi López (Ángela López Sarney) was born in the United Kingdom. Her creative passion is rooted in her rich Spanish heritage, which led her in 2023 to move to live and work in Malaga. Her keen observations of the world during her extensive travels have sparked a deep desire to foster meaningful connections with others. Her abstract works are visual odysseys through enchanting worlds, woven from her personal memories and explorations.

Gigi’s creations range from surreal masterpieces to social realism pieces, each illuminating the struggles and injustices faced by marginalized voices. She champions the constant need to amplify these narratives, advocating for issues such as racial equity, gender equality, mental wellness and more. With an open invitation, Gigi immerses a look through her artistic lens, skillfully using acrylics, collage, mixed media, encaustic wax, stencils, textures and photographs to reveal her unique perspective on the world.
