The Casa de Las Tejerinas will host the presentation of the third book by José Ruíz Márquez ‘Recuerdos de un esteponero’ (Memories of a steponero).

The event will take place next Friday, April 5, at 6:00 p.m., with free access until full capacity is reached.

The Estepona City Council informs that the author José Ruíz Márquez will present his latest book ‘Recuerdos de un esteponero’ (Memories of an Esteponero) next Friday, April 5, at 6:00 pm, in the Alfonso Gil Alfonso Hall of the Casa de Las Tejerinas.

After his first publication, the book-diary ‘Memories of an Esteponero’, published in 2022 by Azur Grupo Editorial, the author, a native of Estepona, presented in October last year the book ‘Simple homemade recipes to make’, in which he compiled the recipes that he himself prepares in his day to day.

According to ‘Pepe’, “if he were to write down everything he has in his memory, it would fill more than one book, but there are memories that cannot be revealed, both for reasons of professional and family secrecy”. But in this new book we can enjoy a broader summary, in which he tells us about memories he has lived throughout his life.

In addition, the book includes color photographs of his parents, siblings, when he worked selling newspapers at the age of eleven, and even when he did his military service and was awarded a diploma, which his parents “were very pleased with”, as he himself says.
