The City Council puts into operation a new connection that facilitates access to Cancelada from Camino Briján

The urbanization work of El Taraje, already received by the City Council, has provided the area with 18,300 meters of east-west and north-south connecting roads, in addition to 11,800 square meters of green areas and 9,000 square meters of equipment.

The Estepona City Council informs that the works to urbanize and provide infrastructure and services to the El Taraje sector have been completed. This is a major project that involves the development of a large area of the city, covering an area of more than 103,131 square meters. The works have provided this area with a new connecting road to facilitate access to Cancelada from Camino Briján.

The mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, today visited the area after the completion of the works and the reception of the same, and stressed the importance of a major project that involves the development of this area of the suburbs.

The urbanization works have created a large green area of 11,800 square meters, which includes both children’s playgrounds and bio-health facilities, in addition to another 9,000 square meters for facilities, which include sports, educational (6,000 square meters of land), social, cultural and commercial uses.

As for roads, a total of five have been created, with a total area of 18,300 meters, so that the area is perfectly connected both north-south and east-west.

The alderman has pointed out that the City Council has already undertaken various actions to improve connections in the suburbs. Thus, a new ford over the Guadalmansa river has recently been put into operation, which connects Cancelada with several urbanizations such as Las Joyas, La Resina and Selwo.
