The City Council will install half a hundred air conditioning units in public schools

These cooling and heating equipment, which have involved an investment of 60,000 euros, will be installed in schools and nursery schools in the coming days. The Consistory will carry out a second phase of this air conditioning plan to provide this equipment to other classrooms of public centers that do not yet have the same.

Estepona City Council reports that it has acquired fifty air conditioning equipment for installation in all schools in the city. The councilor attached to the area of Education, Maria Aguilar, explained that the Consistory has invested 60,000 euros for the purchase and installation of these cooling and heating equipment, which will create a comfortable environment for students and teachers.

The municipal responsible has indicated that these 50 teams are included in the first phase of the air conditioning plan to be carried out by the Consistory in the classrooms, both infant and primary schools, and municipal nursery schools. The equipment will be installed in the coming days.

Aguilar has commented that this half hundred of equipment are part of the first phase of the air conditioning plan in schools. The City Council will continue to provide these cooling systems, ventilation and heating to classrooms that do not yet have them in a second phase.

The mayor of Education has pointed out that in this first phase equipment will be installed in all centers of the city and recalled that there are classrooms in them that have air conditioning from previous courses. “Our goal is to serve those classes that do not yet have air conditioning and require it to control the temperature of the interiors according to the needs of students,” added Maria Aguilar.

Investment for the tuning of the schools

On the other hand, the Councillor for Education recalled that during the summer months the City Council of Estepona has invested more than 250,000 euros in the tuning of public schools.

The improvement and maintenance works, which have exceeded one hundred, have been running during the summer season to avoid inconvenience to students and the rest of the educational community. These improvement actions are those included in the lists of needs submitted by the school managements themselves and include repairs, painting, masonry, plumbing and carpentry work.
