The comparsa with which the great poet of the Carnival of Cadiz has participated in the COAC of the Falla Theater, will perform again in Estepona next Sunday, March 8, at 12:00 noon.
The City Council of Estepona reports that the ‘Great Poet of the Carnival of Cadiz’, Antonio Martínez Ares, will be back at the Teatro Auditorio Felipe VI next Sunday, March 8, at 12:00 pm, with his comparsa ‘Los Humanos’, after winning second prize in the Official Competition of Carnival Groups of the Gran Teatro Falla de Cadiz 2026.
In addition to this award, the group has been distinguished with the ‘Mayores Llenos de Coplas’ Award for the pasodoble ‘Cómo anda hoy mi princesa’, which aims to recognize those coplas that highlight the cultural heritage, memory and values transmitted by our elders, in addition to making visible their essential role in society.
Los Humanos’ represent a group of elders who, from the wisdom that comes from having lived (and having remained silent), come to give us a lesson in humanity through the prism of Carnival.
Tickets are on sale at teatroestepona.com, and at the Auditorium box office the day of the performance, from two hours before the start.
