Cine-Club screens crime thriller ‘Misanthrope’ at Padre Manuel Cultural Center
Next Thursday, February 6, at 8:00 p.m., with free access.
The Estepona City Council informs that the Cine-Club of the delegation of Culture will continue the winter cycle next Thursday, February 6, at 20:00 pm, at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, with the screening of the American crime thriller ‘Misanthrope’, with original title ‘To catch a killer’ (2023).
The film is directed by the Argentinian Damián Szifron, and stars Shailene Woodley, Ben Mendelsohn, Jovan Adepo and Ralph Ineson, among others.
Synopsis: Baltimore, New Year’s Eve. A vicious one-man attack leaves 29 dead and not a single clue. Eleanor Falco (Shailene Woodley) is a young police investigator struggling with the demons of her past when she is recruited by the FBI’s chief investigator (Ben Mendelsohn) to help profile and track the work of a disturbed individual.
As the police and FBI begin a nationwide manhunt, they are thwarted at every turn by the individual’s unprecedented behavior. Given his tortured psyche, Eleanor may be the only person capable of understanding the mind of his assailant and bringing him to justice.
The film, not recommended for children under 16, will be shown in the original English version with Spanish subtitles. Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
