Estepona to Host 4th Villa de Estepona Cycling Trophy

Young cyclists from across the region will compete in the 4th Villa de Estepona Cycling Trophy, part of the provincial circuit, on 17 October

Estepona residents can look forward to a morning of youth cycling action this weekend as the town hosts a key event in the provincial circuit. Local families will find plenty to enjoy at the Recinto Ferial y Deportivo, where young cyclists will compete in the 4th Villa de Estepona Cycling Trophy.

Estepona will host the 4th Villa de Estepona Cycling Trophy on Saturday, 17 October 2026, at the Recinto Ferial y Deportivo. This event marks the second scoring race in the 28th Provincial Cycling Circuit Diputación de Málaga 2026 for the Road Schools category. Organised by Unión Ciclista Virgen del Carmen C.D., in collaboration with the Federación Andaluza de Ciclismo and Estepona Town Hall, the competition is scheduled to begin at 11:00.

Race Categories and Circuits

Two distinct urban circuits will be set up for the event. A shorter circuit, measuring just under one kilometre, is designated for the Promesas and Principiantes categories. A second, longer circuit of 1.32 kilometres will be used by the Alevín and Infantil categories.

Participants will complete a specific number of laps depending on their age group. Riders in the Promesas category (7-8 years old) will complete one lap of the 950-metre course. Principiantes (9-10 years old) will ride two laps of the 950-metre course. Alevines (11-12 years old) are set for four laps of the 1,320-metre course, while Infantiles (13-14 years old) will complete eight laps of the 1,320-metre course. These races will contribute points towards the overall circuit standings.

The top three finishers in each category will receive trophies.

For the youngest participants, those born in 2020 or later (under 7 years old), a series of games and gymkhanas will be organised. These activities, supervised by event staff, focus on enjoyment and bike handling skills, without timed races or classifications.

Registration Information

Registration for the trophy is available via the website of the Federación Andaluza de Ciclismo. The registration period will close on 15 October 2026.

On the day of the event, the race office at the Recinto Ferial y Deportivo will be open from 09:30 to 10:30 for bib collection and any last-minute registrations, subject to available places. A maximum of 150 riders can participate in the event.
