Estepona Town Hall Offers Free Trips for Young Residents

Young people aged 18 to 35 can explore Ronda and Málaga for free, discovering the cultural and natural wealth of the province
Young residents in Estepona have the chance to explore the wider Málaga province for free, thanks to a new initiative from Estepona Town Hall. The municipal Youth department has organised a series of complimentary excursions as part of its ‘Conoce tu entorno, conoce tu provincia’ (Know your surroundings, know your province) project, aimed at young people aged between 18 and 35.
Upcoming Excursions and Registration
The next planned trip will be a visit to the city of Ronda on 21 November 2026. This initiative aims to familiarise young people with the natural, cultural, and heritage richness of Estepona and Málaga province.
Places for these activities are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Estepona Town Hall is also promoting gender equality and the inclusion of GTBI diversity and people with disabilities. Each excursion will have specialised coordinators and informative materials provided by the tourism offices of the destinations visited.
Those interested in the Ronda trip can apply by sending an an email to juventud@estepona.es on 3 and 4 November 2026. Registration will be processed in order of receipt.
A further trip is planned for 12 December 2026 to Málaga, offering a chance to visit its museums and experience the city’s Christmas lights. Registration deadlines for this specific activity will be announced soon.
Previous activities under the project have included visits to Caminito del Rey and hiking days in the Estepona area.
Project Goals and Inclusivity
Julia Simón, the councillor attached to the Youth area, highlighted that the initiative seeks to promote respect for and conservation of the environment. It also aims to encourage healthy leisure alternatives and reinforce social and educational values among young people. The project further seeks to foster knowledge and appreciation of the cultural and natural wealth of their immediate surroundings, encouraging youth to actively participate in the protection, conservation, and enjoyment of heritage.
The ‘Conoce tu entorno, conoce tu provincia’ project directly contributes to the well-being and health of the young population through outdoor activities in natural and healthy spaces. The initiative reflects a commitment to sustainability and environmental education, while also supporting the personal and social development of young people. This offers Estepona’s youth the opportunity to enjoy safe, inclusive, and enriching experiences that combine leisure, learning, and contact with their environment.
