Marbella Strengthens its International Sports Projection with the MotoSurf Spain Grand Prix
The first MotoSurf World Championship Spain Grand Prix, the fourth round of the 2026 season, brought together 70 riders from 20 countries this weekend in the city across male, female, and junior categories. This event marks a milestone for Spain as it enters the international championship calendar for the first time. The competition, a rapidly growing water sport discipline, has showcased Marbella's image in nearly 80 countries through the championship's official channels. Mayor Ángeles Muñoz emphasized that hosting such a prestigious event enhances the city's international visibility and demonstrates its ability to promote major sporting events that shape the present and future of sports. She also noted, "We have worked for two years to bring this championship to our region, and today Marbella is already part of the international motosurf map."
