Marbella Wins International 'Best Hub' Award for Innovation
Marbella Town Hall has received an international 'Best Hub' award, recognising its dedication to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the region
Marbella Town Hall's commitment to fostering a dynamic economic environment has gained international recognition. The town has been honoured with the ‘Best Hub’ award at Startup OLÉ Salamanca 2026, a prominent European and Ibero-American gathering for the entrepreneurial and technology ecosystem.
This accolade acknowledges the work of the Economic Development and SMEs Department, particularly through its Marbellup initiative. Marbellup aims to position Marbella as a strategic destination for innovation, talent, and the development of new projects. Alejandro Freijo Benito, the Director General of the department, represented the Town Hall at the event and collected the award.
The award highlights Marbella’s municipal strategy, which supports entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and the creation of an increasingly dynamic, competitive, and internationally connected ecosystem.
