Registration for the IV Half Marathon Senda Litoral ‘Trofeo Ikos Andalusia’ is now open.
Registrations for this event, which will be held on May 4, will be open until April 30 and, as a novelty this year, will be broadcast live in streaming.
The councilor attached to the Sports delegation, Luis Gil; the technical director of the race, José Juárez; and the representative of the hotel IKOS Andalusia, Janet González, have informed that from today is open the registration period for the IV Half Marathon Senda Litoral de Estepona ‘Trofeo IKOS Andalusia’, to be held on Sunday, May 4, organized by the Consistory and the Club Atletismo Estepona.
In addition, they have announced as a novelty this year, that the race will be broadcast live streaming.
Registrations will be open until 14.00 on April 30, and can be made through the web https://faalive.com/calendarbd/current. The price is 18 ¤ for the first 200 registered, 22 ¤ for those registered until April 13, and 27 ¤ from April 14 to 30, until the quota, which has been set at a maximum of 700 participants, is covered.
The categories are U-20, U-23, Senior, and Master M-35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 55, 60, 65 and 70+, also has opened a category for people with functional diversity provided they prove a minimum disability of 33 percent.
The test, which will run for a total of 21.097 kilometers, will start at 09.00 hours from the street Montemayor of Cancelada, next to the Tenencia de Alcaldía. The first five kilometers will run through the urbanizations of this urban center until reaching the first of the four refreshment points (km 5) where the route will begin along the Coastal Path until reaching the Estepona Promenade, which will be run by the participants until reaching the Fishing Port. Then they will go around the Lighthouse along the promenade D. José Fernández Garrido and will continue the route along the Avenida de España until the confluence with the Avenida Andalucía; they will pass through the small square Ortiz to enter the Calle Real and at the end will link with the Avenida Juan Carlos I to the Fair and Sports Grounds and reach the finish line at the Athletics Stadium through the Marathon Gate.
The circuit will be controlled at all times by members of the various Security Forces, Civil Protection and volunteers. In addition, there will be checkpoints along the route, with the presence of judges from the Andalusian Athletics Federation. There will be four refreshment points at kilometers 5, 10, 15 and 19. In addition, the organization will provide buses for the movement of runners who request it in the registration, to the starting area and a checkroom vehicle. Once the race is over, there will be no buses to return to the starting point.
