The City Council is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Harry Potter series with three days full of magic

The “25 Years of Magic” tribute will take place from September 3 to 5 and will feature a special program including movies, an exhibition, board games, an escape room, parades, and a concert

The Estepona City Council announces that the city will join in the celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the famous film series starring Harry Potter. To this end, the City Council has organized a full program of activities, in collaboration with the Unicornio Association, which will take place from September 3 to 5.

This initiative commemorates the anniversary of the Spanish premiere, on November 30, 2001, of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” the first film in one of the most popular film series of all time.

Thus, the “25 Years of Magic” tribute will take place over three days, featuring various events related to the magical universe created around the young wizard-in-training.

The program will kick off on Thursday, September 3, at 9:30 p.m. at the Orquidario Botanical Park with a screening of *Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone*—an opportunity to enjoy the film that launched this famous film series outdoors.

And on Friday, September 4, from 12:00 p.m. to midnight, Terraza Street will host an exhibition on the Harry Potter Universe, featuring life-size creatures and characters, including the protagonist himself, the Troll, and the Thestral. The event will also feature booths selling merchandise and other items related to the series.

In addition, on the same day from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Padre Manuel Cultural Center will serve as the venue for the “Harry Potter Escape Room,” which will feature five sessions with a maximum of eight people per session. Those interested can register at www.survivalmagic.es.

Magic will also take to the streets of Estepona starting at 8:00 p.m. with a “Harry Potter Magic Parade,” which will depart from the Orquidario Botanical Park and wind through downtown Estepona, ending at the Plaza del Reloj.

At this same location, the day will come to a close with a concert at 9:00 p.m. by the Ciudad de Jaén Symphonic Band, which will perform live renditions of some of the saga’s most recognizable musical pieces.

The program will conclude on Saturday, September 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, with a day of board games set in the Harry Potter universe. Participation is free and will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with participants rotating through a total of ten games, including Parchís, Dobble, Trivial Pursuit, Brain Box, and Strike.

With this program, Estepona will become a gathering place for Harry Potter fans over these three days, featuring activities designed for the whole family to enjoy and allowing fans of all ages to relive the magic of a series that continues to be part of the collective imagination of several generations.
