The City Council Opens Registration for the 2026/2027 Cultural Courses and Workshops

Registration will open on September 7, and classes will begin on October 5, with a wide range of courses available for all ages

The Estepona City Council announces that registration for the 2026/2027 Culture Courses and Workshops will open on September 7. These programs will offer a wide variety of disciplines for people of all ages. Registration will remain open until all available spots are filled.

Classes will begin on October 5, 2026, and will run through the end of June 2027, on a quarterly basis.

Those interested may register by email, sending the corresponding application to cursoscultura@estepona.es, or in person at City Hall. If registering in person, you may do so from September 7 to 11, between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. To do so, you must first schedule an appointment online through the municipal appointment scheduling platform.

Available spots in the various courses and workshops will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.

Macarena Diánez, the councilmember responsible for Culture, Festivals, and Folk Traditions, highlighted the support measures the City Hall offers to certain groups. In this regard, residents registered in Estepona who are in a situation of greater vulnerability may benefit from a 50% discount on the cost of the courses. Students enrolled at the Estepona Adult Education Center, music theory students who enroll in piano lessons, youth correspondents accredited by the Municipal Youth Office, and students who are part of a large family will also be eligible for this 50% discount.

In addition, a 25% discount is available for those enrolled in more than one course offered by the Municipal Department of Culture.

All courses and workshops must be paid for in advance by quarter, once registration is complete. Discounts are not cumulative and must be requested via the reception desk once the applicant has been admitted to the corresponding workshop.

The program of courses and workshops offered by the Municipal Department of Culture for the 2026–2027 academic year includes the following disciplines:

Arts:

– Theater with Juan Jesús Luque.

Dance:

– Ballroom dancing (Latin rhythms, sevillanas, and wedding choreography), with Mariví Rodríguez.

– Preparatory courses for the Elementary and Intermediate Levels at the Andalusian School of Flamenco with Lourdes Barrientos.

Arts and Crafts:

– Drawing and Painting with Rocío Garín.

– Bobbin Lace with Inmaculada Chacón

Language Department:

– English with Juan Sergio Picardo.

Music Section:

– Flamenco Guitar with Paco Javier Jimeno.

– Percussion with Chico Fargas

– Music Theory and Piano with Joaquín Castellano

Courses in Cancelada

– Belly Dancing and Latin Dance with Paulina Partal

– Bobbin Lace with Inmaculada Chacón.

– Arts and Crafts with María Eugenia Espinosa

– Design and Patternmaking with María Eugenia Espinosa
