The City Council organizes in Cancelada a Flea Market for the benefit of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC).

This is an activity, scheduled for February 8, in which neighbors or groups can sell items in good condition, that they have at home and handicraft products
Registrations are open and can be formalized in the Mayor’s Office of the neighborhood of Cancelada or in the AECC, located at Calle Terraza 170.
The City Council of Estepona reports that, on February 8, Cancelada will hold the first Solidarity Trasteros Market this year to benefit the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC). This activity will be held on the occasion of the celebration of World Cancer Day, which is a commemorative day held annually on February 4 since 2000, established by UNESCO to promote cancer research and prevention, improve patient care, increase awareness and mobilize the global community in the fight against this disease.
The ‘Storage Market’ is an activity in which, upon registration, individuals or groups will have access to a specific space where they can set up a stall to sell those items that they have in disuse at home and which can be given a useful life, in addition to craft products.
The deputy mayor of Extrarradio area, Begoña Ortiz, has specified that the market will be installed in the Plaza José Vázquez Espinosa. The mayor has also stressed that the items to be offered for sale must be in good condition and in proper working order.
Registration to participate with its own stand is 10 euros, which will go entirely to the AECC, said Ortiz. The registration period will remain open until Friday, February 7. The stalls may have their products on sale from 10:00 hours and will end around 18:00 hours.
The rules for participating in this activity state that the elements for setting up the stand (tables, boards, posters, prices…) for sale will be provided solely and exclusively by those in charge of the stand.
Throughout the day there will be different performances to liven up the market such as:
13:00. Performance of the dance academy of Ana Guerrero “Sólo Flamenco”.
14:30. Performance by the choir Love To Sing
15:30. Performance by Sami James
16:00. Performance by the group “Los Piratas Flamencos”.
The AECC will have its own stand where they will inform about their work and where you can also purchase products, so that all those who attend the market can collaborate.
The AECC in Estepona has its headquarters at Calle Terraza 170, from where it offers free services to cancer patients and their families. Since 2022 it has been offering psychological support, physiotherapy and social care as its main services, as well as hospital and home accompaniment for patients in Estepona.
It also offers free yoga, dance, crafts, sewing, crochet, English, French, painting, reading and writing activities at its headquarters.
The president of the AECC in Estepona, Julia Crespo, encourages all Estepona residents to participate in this beautiful initiative offered by the City of Estepona to raise funds for our association.
