The Grand Slam K-9 Costa del Sol returns to Estepona in its ‘The Rising’ edition with the best K-1, Boxing and MMA fights.
Several of the most outstanding international fighters will take part in the tournament, which will be held this Saturday, February 22, at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos. The event will start at 10:30 a.m. with the amateur gala, and at 5:30 p.m. the professional gala will begin.
The councilman attached to the delegation of Sports, Luis Gil; the president of the Club K-9 Estepona Manuel Postigo; and the champions of the World and Spain of K-1, Cristopher Mena ‘The Black Mamba’ and Salah Najjan, respectively, today presented the Grand Slam Costa del Sol Kick Boxing, in its edition ‘The Rising’, which is held this Saturday, February 22, at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos.
It is a sports competition of K-1, Kick Boxing, Muay Thai and Boxing, which also includes this year the MMA modality, given the rise of this sport, in which local fighters will participate. This event, which serves as a promotion for the representatives of the K-9 Club Estepona, has the participation of about 140 athletes from all over Spain, England, Portugal, Sweden, Hungary, Romania and Morocco.
As a novelty, in this edition there will be two different galas, one in the morning, from 10:30 am, with amateur Muay Thai, K-1 and Kick Boxing, and another professional gala in the afternoon, from 17:30 pm, with bouts of K-1 and Boxing, where 4 professional titles will be at stake World Slam Series of K-1 and 2 professional titles of Andalusia, which will dispute the Estepona José Plaza in 80 kg, and Marbella Vili Jr. in 85 kg.
In the main bout, the world champion and star of K-1, Cristopher “The Black Mamba”, returns to his beginnings after a period of his career devoted to professional boxing with the dispute of the Legends Slam Series title, against the Moroccan Moha Bull, who will be accompanied by the Marbella star Nico “Iron” Gaffie and Fran “Sidi” Ramirez, who will dispute a Slam Series Title against the Moroccan intercontinental champion Ayoub El Khaissi.
