The pianist Juan José Sevilla Valencia pays tribute to the famous Chopin with a didactic concert at the Padre Manuel Cultural CenterDidactic concert at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center

The talented pianist will return to Estepona on February 14, at 8:00 pm, with the concert ‘Polyhedron Chopin’, in tribute to one of the greatest composers of classical music for piano: Frédéric Chopin.

The City Council of Estepona informs that the Padre Manuel Cultural Center will host next Friday, February 14, from 20:00 hours, a solo piano concert by the young musician from Chiclana, born in Ceuta, Juan José Sevilla Valencia. “Polyhedron Chopin” is a didactic concert that aims to pay tribute to one of the greatest composers of classical music for piano: Frederic Chopin.

Our admired Chopin was, without knowing it, composer of some of the soundtracks of our daily life. Nowadays, we have hundreds of series, movies and animations full of appearances and references to his Nocturnes, Waltzes, Preludes or Sonatas. He is one of these composers that the youngest know even without ever having gone to the theater to a piano concert.

This project aims to disseminate the figure of this famous Polish pianist and composer, alluding to his life and work in a workshop of close character, full of anecdotes, historical notes, culture and above all, music.

Chopin’s different ways of expressing his feelings on the score will be put on the table, generating a polyhedron of multiple forms of musical composition; a wide spectrum of works in which we can find from preludes, nocturnes and waltzes, to studies and polonaises, among many others. At all times the spoken interventions will be interspersed with the interpretation of recognizable examples to the ear of those present, recovering melodies that listeners already have in their auditory retina. As a gift, at the end of the concert, Juan José will interpret one of Chopin’s masterpieces; the Fantasia-impromptu Op. 66.

Tickets for the concert of this young ‘talent’, professor of piano in Mannheim (Germany), are priced at 10 euros, and can be purchased at the box office of the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel from one hour before the start of the show, until full capacity is reached. It will also be possible to reserve tickets at +34 618294319 where we also put a BIZUM FILA 0 for those who wish to contribute to the concert.
