The Subida a Peñas Blancas returns to the National Championship and will bring together in Estepona the elite of mountain motor racing.

The event, which will take place from April 25 to 27, is also valid for the Andalusian Championship and counts towards the Malaga Provincial Cup.

The City Council of Estepona informs that the XVI edition of the Subida de Campeones Estepona-Peñas Blancas 2025, to be held from April 25 to 27, will once again include the city in the calendar of the Spanish Championship, thus returning the event to the elite of mountain motoring at the national level.

The councilman attached to the delegation of Sports, Luis Gil, today presented the new edition of the traditional Subida a Peñas Blancas, one of the most demanding and expected motoring events on the national scene. The main novelty, as he explained, is that after several years, will again be valid for the Championship of Spain Mountain Racing (1st test), in addition to the Championship of Andalusia Mountain Racing, included as 4th test of the Andalusian championship 2025. The ascent to Peñas Blancas is also part of the Copa Diputación de Málaga. All of them take place in the municipality of Estepona.

The Royal Spanish Automobile Federation, through its territorial federation in Andalusia, maintains its confidence in the solid organizational structure of the Estepona event to organize championships of this level, which will mean the possibility of once again having teams of the highest national level, explained Gil, who stressed that in 2025, the Estepona event will be the only race on the national calendar to be held in Andalusia, being the one with the longest course of the championship, with 7.5 kilometers in the stunning surroundings of Sierra Bermeja.

The program will run from Friday April 25 to Sunday April 27, 2025, according to the national calendar of mountain motor racing.

Within this XVI edition of the Subida de Campeones Estepona-Peñas Blancas 2025, the category of Territorial Champions will be held exclusively in Estepona, where the champions of the twelve Spanish regional federations will participate.

The councilman attached to the delegation of Sports, Luis Gil, has highlighted the increase of local teams that are registered in the Subida de Campeones Estepona-Peñas Blancas, exceeding in the last edition of 2024 half a dozen pilots.
