Estepona celebrates Latin Culture Day with a great day of music, art and gastronomy

The event will take place on October 11 at the Mirador del Carmen, within the program "Sharing Cultures" and as part of the activities organized in the event "Estepona lives its streets" in autumn.
Estepona City Council informs that next Saturday, October 11, will be held in the municipality the Latin Culture Day, a festive day dedicated to the cultural, artistic and gastronomic richness of Latin America. This activity is part of the municipal program "Sharing Cultures", as well as the special programming of the event "Estepona lives its streets" in autumn, which will take place from 10 to 12 October, with numerous cultural, musical and gastronomic proposals throughout the city.
The councilor of the Extraradio area, Begoña Ortiz, has pointed out that this event aims to value the cultural and social contribution of Latin American communities residing in Estepona, and strengthen the bonds of coexistence with other citizens. In this sense, he pointed out that "our city is an example of intercultural coexistence, with more than 135 nationalities living together, of which almost 4,000 come from Latin countries. Events like this foster mutual understanding and celebrate all that unites us. A union that is made especially special with Latino countries as we share a common language, similar traditions, family values and a special way of looking at life."
The Latin Culture Day will be held in the surroundings of the Mirador del Carmen, in uninterrupted hours from 12:00 to 23:00 hours. Throughout the day, the public will be able to enjoy a varied program that will include live music, craft samples and will be able to taste the gastronomy with typical dishes from countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Argentina, Cuba or Dominican Republic, among others.
Among the programmed activities are performances by folkloric dance groups, concerts, as well as DJ entertainment. In addition, anyone who wishes to participate in a Latin dance contest will be able to register for the following prizes:
1st Prize. A dinner for two people in Malva Beach of the group Besaya.
2nd Prize. A spa circuit for two at Gran Hotel Elba Estepona.
3rd Prize. Free drinks at the stands present at the celebration.
The City Council invites all residents and visitors to join this celebration, which seeks not only to entertain, but also to bring cultures together, share traditions and strengthen the community through art, music and good food.
