Estepona City Council creates a 'Neighborhood Brigade' to improve and reinforce the maintenance of the neighborhoods

This brigade, which will be permanently composed of 10 workers, will move to the different neighborhoods as each of these residential areas is completed.

Estepona City Council reports the creation and implementation of a 'Brigade of Neighborhoods', which aims to improve and strengthen the maintenance of these residential and commercial areas of the city.

The deputy mayor of the area of Services and External Control, Blas Ruzafa, explained that this brigade, which will be permanently composed of 10 workers, will remain in each of the neighborhoods where it will act until the completion of its tuning. In this way, you can carry out an improvement plan that will include everything from masonry work, painting or road signs, to electricity, plumbing, gardening, removal of architectural barriers, paving and sidewalks.

For this reason, workers from other municipal services will be added to the 'Neighborhood Brigade' according to the specific needs of each of these residential and commercial areas in the city center and the outskirts.

The 'Neighborhood Brigade' has begun to intervene in the neighborhoods of Blas Infante and Picasso and will remain during the month of September until the completion of all scheduled tasks. Subsequently, through a rotation system, the 'Neighborhood Brigade' will move to another area of the municipality to carry out a comprehensive improvement plan in that new environment. In this regard, Blas Ruzafa has advanced that the 'Brigada de Barrios' will be operating permanently in the city, so that all neighborhoods will benefit from this new service that has just been launched.

The work to be carried out in the different neighborhoods will also take into account the proposals and incidents that neighbors have registered in the municipal Green Line service.
