Estepona is once again the starting point for the Solidarity Car Rally 'Oasis Raid' 2025

The solidarity expedition will be made up of fifty vehicles, and will leave for Morocco on Thursday, October 23, from the Exhibition and Congress Palace, and will cross the country in a nine-day journey. This 2025 edition will focus on a new main campaign: '1002 Glasses', in collaboration with gafadeportiva.com.

The Estepona City Council informs that the city will be again next Thursday, October 23rd, the official starting point of the Solidarity Motor Rally 'Oasis Raid' 2025, a non-timed orienteering and motor race aimed at all audiences, which combines adventure and solidarity, and which pays tribute to the great motorized crossings and raids through Africa.

The non-timed competition is organized by Motor Adventure S.L., in collaboration with the City Council. From 09.00 hours, the participating vehicles will access to a limited space at the entrance of the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses, where the teams will be presented and will pass the technical verifications. They will remain in this area until 13.00 hours, when the official departure will take place in the direction of the port of Algeciras, to leave for the African continent.

In this fourteenth edition of the activity, the ninth with starting point in Estepona, will participate fifty vehicles divided into two categories: 'Raid', consisting of small displacement vehicles registered in the 80s and 90s, and 'All-Road', of 'SUVs' and 4x4 vehicles. The caravan will cross the neighboring country of Morocco in a nine-day journey and will travel a unique itinerary created for the occasion that will test the physical and mental endurance of the participants and the mechanics of the vehicles.

One of the basic pillars of Oasis Raid is solidarity with the most disadvantaged inhabitants of the Moroccan territories where the event takes place. For the 2025 edition, the focus will be on a new main campaign: '1002 Glasses', in collaboration with gafadeportiva.com. This innovative project allows participants to wear prescription glasses or sunglasses for a second life. With a specialized optometry team, they will be able to examine the eyesight of people in the communities and provide them with the glasses that best suit their needs, significantly improving their quality of life.
