The Estepona City Council reports that Room 1 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from 16 to 29 October the exhibition of paintings by the artist Andrés Berrío, author of the poster for the Festivity of Our Lady of Carmen Coronada 2025.

The exhibition, entitled 'Absences', consists of 26 works, and can be visited from Tuesday to Friday, from 09:00 to 20:00 hours, and Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:00 hours, with free access.

Andrés Felipe Berrío Pinillos (Andrés Berrío) was born in Medellín (Colombia), where he trained in plastic arts and advertising drawing. At the Centro Artístico y Cultural 'Sócrates' he studied drawing, painting and sculpture, and graduated in Plastic Arts at the University of Antioquia.

He is a visual artist with more than 25 years of experience, both in his personal work and in the projection of other artists, strengthening both in technique, creation and concept. He has taken part in several collective and individual exhibitions, expressing his feelings through his artistic work.

He has worked in the television project of Teleantioquia (Más allá del tiempo, chapter Pedronel Gómez), with the master sculptor Julio Londoño in the 'Sócrates' Center, in Medellín, where he has also worked as a professor of drawing and painting.

This year he has made the poster for the feast of Our Lady of Carmen Coronada, Patroness and Mayor and Perpetual Mayoress of Estepona.

He has also shared knowledge with renowned artists, thus improving his technique and expressiveness. "Through art, I look for the way that every individual has the opportunity to communicate through it what he keeps in his inner universe, thus giving a unique expression which makes us unique," says the artist.
