Ingeniería Ambiental CAB Estepona celebrates again in front of its public (73-69) in the Women's Basketball Andalusia Cup

The Estepona team won thanks to a great last quarter, pushed by a La Lobilla crowd that was once again thrilled with their team, despite the fact that injuries left the rotation with only seven players.
The Estepona City Council reports that the Polideportivo La Lobilla hosted this weekend a new basketball tournament of the highest level: the Women's Andalusia Cup Viajes Azul Marino 2025, which this season has released format with three participating teams: CAB Estepona, Unicaja and CB Sevilla.
The event ended on Sunday with a new Andalusia Cup champions trophy in the showcases of the Costa del Sol team, despite the fact that the start of the game was not the best and the team was far from its best version. Madison Conner won the MVP of the game thanks to her 22 points for 21 valuation credits, although Meli Gretter (20), Ceci Muhate (19) and Anniina Aijanen (19) would also have been deserving of that award, being the four players who remained on the court for more than 30 minutes due to the lack of players.
Francis Tomé started the game with the same lineup that proposed on Thursday in Alcantarilla against Jairis, leaving Noelia Masiá and Marta Ortega on the bench and with the absences of Alma Bourgarel, Leia Dongue, Kiara Leslie and with Sika Koné pending to return from the United States after finishing her participation in the WNBA. The usual motivation of the players of Unicaja SD when facing the first team of the province, allowed the capital to start the game with an advantage and the inaccuracies and bad decisions that made that only added fluently through Conner, but the more choral play and the good work of Cesarina Capellán allowed Javi Pérez's team to go to the locker room winning by two points (30-32), but with an income that was always superior except for a final outburst of the locals.
The passage through the locker room served for the players of Environmental Engineering CAB Estepona came out more plugged in and with the focus on finding the advantages, to the point of turning the scoreboard (37-34, min. 22) many minutes later, but the visiting coaching staff knew how to adjust to the advantages of Estepona and did not take long to get up to six points above (45-51). Of course, in the last quarter Gretter showed why she is one of the best point guards in the league knowing how to lead the team, put pause when necessary and not only scoring, also putting millimeter passes to Muhate and Aijanen to easily overcome their defenders to end up to CAB Estepona to a victory (73-69) that makes it the club with more Andalusia Cup won in the history of the competition, counting even the editions in which the disputed teams of First National.
