Marbella Kicks Off Its Big Week with Emotional Opening Speech

Marbella welcomed the 2026 San Bernabé Fair with an emotional speech by Aurelio Gómez Gutiérrez, a worker in the Festivities department for over four decades. He took the audience on a heartfelt journey through the evolution of the local festivities and recent history of the city. His speech, filled with memories, anecdotes, and gratitude, was delivered to a large crowd gathered at the Marina terraces, officially marking the start of a week-long celebration that will last until June 14.
